What IGNISDRACO produces — and what to do with it

A completed IGNISDRACO project is not a single report. It's a layered set of outputs built across four phases, each answering a different question about your strategic situation. Here's what you get at each stage, what the premium add-ons contribute, and how to make the full output usable beyond the planning session.

The four phases and what they deliver

Phase 1 — Prepare produces a sharpened focal question: the specific strategic decision or challenge the entire analysis is built around. A vague focal question produces vague scenarios. The platform guides you through refinement — including bias detection that flags when a question is leading rather than genuinely open.

Phase 2 — Foresight produces a PESTEL analysis and Impact/Uncertainty matrix: a structured map of the forces shaping your environment, sorted by how much they matter to your specific question and how certain their direction is. The forces in the high-impact, high-uncertainty quadrant become your scenario axes. The forces in high-impact, low-uncertainty are built into every scenario as given.

Phase 3 — Insight produces four scenarios: genuinely different worlds built from your two most critical uncertainties, each with a narrative, key implications, and early signals. These are not optimistic/base/pessimistic variations — they are structurally different futures with different logics about who wins, what's scarce, and how your strategy performs.

Phase 4 — Action produces a strategy portfolio: a set of moves tested against all four futures, sorted into no-regret moves (hold in every future), hedges (hold in specific futures), and gaps (what the uncomfortable scenario demands that isn't yet in the plan). This phase includes the basic wind tunnel — a pass/fail test of each strategy against each future — and a basic PDF export.

The premium add-ons — what each one answers

The base project is complete without any add-ons. The premium features answer specific questions the base output leaves open.

Deep Narratives — €35 What the base gives you: a scenario summary of 3-5 sentences per future. What Deep Narratives adds: 2-3 pages per scenario with a timeline of how the world unfolds, stakeholder-specific perspectives, and the strategic implications per actor. When it matters: any time the output will be presented to people who weren't in the planning session — a board, an investor, a leadership team that needs to be convinced rather than just informed. A summary tells; a narrative persuades.

Scenario Radar — €25 What the base gives you: four scenarios that feel different. What the Radar adds: a quantified Divergence Score showing how different your four futures actually are across eight dimensions, visualised as overlapping radar charts. When it matters: if the Divergence Score is low, your scenarios are too similar — the matrix hasn't done its job, and the wind tunnel results will be misleading. The Radar is the quality check on the scenario construction itself.

Wind Tunnel Pro — €45 What the base gives you: a pass/fail test — does this strategy survive this future, yes or no. What Wind Tunnel Pro adds: a multi-dimensional score for every strategy in every future across resilience, competitive advantage, risk level, and implementation feasibility. The output is a heat map of your entire portfolio, plus an AI Portfolio Recommendation that synthesises the weakest points. When it matters: when you have more than three strategies and need to understand relative portfolio strength, not just individual strategy survival.

AI Challenger — €30 What the base gives you: a strategy portfolio you built yourself. What the Challenger adds: five structured challenges from an AI that has read your entire project and is designed to argue against it — your biggest blind spot, the assumption that could fail, a strategy overlap you haven't noticed, what you're not doing, and what happens if the transformation scenario arrives faster than modelled. When it matters: after you've completed the wind tunnel and feel broadly satisfied. That satisfaction is exactly when an external challenge earns its cost. The Challenger cannot be reassured by your confidence — it reads the data.

Executive Report — €50 What the base gives you: a PDF export of your project outputs. What the Executive Report adds: a structured 15-25 page document with a cover page, table of contents, executive summary, full environmental scan with the Impact/Uncertainty matrix, all four scenario narratives, the wind tunnel results in a colour-coded table, the strategy portfolio, immediate actions, and a monitoring framework. When it matters: any time the output needs to leave the room — a board pack, an investor conversation, a strategic review with leadership who weren't in the process. The base PDF gives you the analysis; the Executive Report gives you the argument.

Premium Bundle — €150 All five add-ons. The individual add-ons are complementary — Deep Narratives makes the scenarios convincing, the Radar validates them, Wind Tunnel Pro stress-tests the strategies, the Challenger challenges the portfolio, and the Executive Report packages the result. For any project that will be used at board level or to support a significant capital decision, the bundle is the rational choice. The saving over individual purchase is €35.

Making the output usable beyond the session

The most important step most teams skip: before closing the project, assign the early signals.

Every scenario includes observable indicators that would suggest that future is gaining momentum. For each indicator, before leaving the session: name an owner, define a specific threshold that triggers review, and agree what the team already knows to do if that threshold is crossed.

Without that step, the plan is a document. With it, the plan is a live instrument.

The full guide to using a scenario plan after completion covers this in detail — including how to read the strategy portfolio, when to take the plan off the shelf, and what the gaps in the output are telling you.

The question worth asking before you start

The quality of everything IGNISDRACO produces depends on the quality of the focal question. Before you begin: is the question you're planning to ask genuinely open — or is it already pointing at an answer you've already chosen?

Frequently asked questions

What does a completed IGNISDRACO project include?

Four structured phases: a focal question, a driving forces map with PESTEL and Impact/Uncertainty matrix, four contrasting scenario narratives with early signals, and a strategy portfolio tested against all four futures with a basic wind tunnel and PDF export.

Are the premium add-ons necessary?

The base project is complete without them. Each add-on answers a specific question the base leaves open. Deep Narratives makes scenarios persuasive for people who weren't in the room. The Radar validates scenario quality. Wind Tunnel Pro scores portfolio strength. The Challenger stress-tests assumptions. The Executive Report produces a board-ready document.

What is the Executive Report and when do I need it?

A 15-25 page structured PDF with executive summary, full environmental scan, scenario narratives, wind tunnel results, strategy portfolio, and monitoring framework. Use it when the output needs to leave the planning session — for board presentations, investor conversations, or any audience that needs to be convinced, not just informed.

What is the AI Challenger?

An AI that reads your entire completed project and challenges it in five structured ways: your biggest blind spot, the most fragile assumption, strategy overlaps, missing actions, and timeline acceleration risks. It cannot be reassured by your confidence — it reads only what the data says.

How is Wind Tunnel Pro different from the basic wind tunnel?

The basic wind tunnel tests whether each strategy passes or fails in each future. Wind Tunnel Pro scores each strategy across four dimensions — resilience, competitive advantage, risk level, and implementation feasibility — in each future, producing a heat map of the full portfolio and an AI-generated recommendation on the weakest points.
